LIL’ FIELDERS YOUTH BASEBALL CLASS
Lil’ Fielders is a skill development program that introduces the fundamentals of baseball to players ages 3-5. The curriculum focuses on teaching key skills such as throwing, swinging, catching, and running, all while making the game fun and engaging. Players will learn the basic concepts of baseball in a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, dedication, and a passion for the sport. Our coaches work to build confidence through fun drills and activities, helping children prepare for future league play as they grow.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
CLASS INFORMATION
- The program is designed for ages 3-5.
- Open to boys and girls.
- The class curriculum takes the participants through 8 weeks of skill building activities.
- Classes are 50 minutes long.
- Classes are once per week on Wednesdays & Saturdays.
- Times & classes are subject to change.

- For safety reasons, whiffle balls and bats are used for classes.
CLASS LEVELS & DESCRIPTIONS
Minors: (Boys & Girls; 3 years old)
Parent/caregiver participation as needed The Minors curriculum is designed to have the children continue their baseball experience in a fun environment that also reinforces the fundamentals of the game.
Objectives:
- Simple base running and base recognition.
- Hitting, focusing on proper stance and level swing to make contact with the ball off the tee. Introduction to hitting from a pitch.
- Throwing…point, step, and throw with proper motion and aim.
- Fielding, with emphasis on using two hands, staying in front of the ball and not falling down.
- Improved hand/eye coordination.
- Understanding straightforward game situations, such as throwing a player out.
- Fitness and agility.
- Advancement of social skills such as following instructions, taking turns and teamwork.
Majors: (Boys & Girls; 4 years old)
The Majors curriculum expands on the skills learned in the 3-year-old program, with slightly more technical instruction and game situations.
Objectives:
- Proper base running and sliding techniques.
- Hitting, focusing on proper stance, level swing, and follow-through off the tee. Begin hitting from a pitch by the coach.
- Throwing…point, step, and throw with the proper motion for distance and accuracy.
- Fielding, with emphasis on using two hands, staying in front of the ball.
- Catching pop flies with two hands.
- Learning various offensive and defensive game situations
- Fitness and agility
Hall of Famers: (Boys & Girls; 5 years old)
The Hall of Famers curriculum is designed to have the children continue improving their fundamentals skills while preparing them for their next level of participation, organized tee-ball.
Objectives:
- Base recognition and proper base running techniques.
- Five steps of hitting with focus on proper form including full swing and hip rotation.
- Correct throwing mechanics emphasizing accuracy and distance.
- Proper fielding technique, keeping their body in front of the ball.
- Using the baseball glove for fielding of line drives and pop fly catches.
- Teamwork.
- Game situations.
- Fitness and agility.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration
- No spaces in any class are guaranteed without payment, as full payments are due at the time of registration. All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A non-refundable annual program enrollment fee of $10 is required for all participants registering for internal programs.
- Minimum of three children per class. If fewer than three are signed up after the third week, you will be required to choose another time or a refund if the class is canceled.
- Join at any time – classes are always prorated.
Trial Classes
- All first-time trial classes are free of charge.
- A Field House waiver must be completed before stepping onto the field.
- Customers may only do trials in classes that have space available.

Refund Policy
- Refunds will ONLY be given if a class has been canceled.
- Refunds are not issued due to missed classes. If a child stops coming, a credit to the HFH may be issued, pending approval.
WHAT TO BRING
- Baseball gloves are strongly recommended.
- Comfortable athletic attire and shoes.
- A water bottle labeled with you child’s name.
PROGRAM POLICIES
Parents and Guardians
- Classes are not drop-off, a parent/guardian must be on-site during the class. For children under 4, parents may be permitted on the field or court with their child.
Behavior
- Dangerous, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviors will be dealt with case-by-case and could result in the loss of the privilege to participate. No refunds or credits will be issued if your child cannot participate due to negative behaviors.
Transfers
- Transfers within the same age group are permitted at any point in the session. All class transfers are dependent upon space availability.
Make-Up Classes
- Make-ups are done on a space-available basis. Make-ups do not carry over into the next session. No refunds will be given for missed classes.
