Lisa

Lisa Downie has been working in the fitness, health and personal training field for over 25 years! With a college background in Health Promotion/Exercise Science and Education, Lisa has been teaching fitness classes since her college. She has taught a variety of classes and specializes in strength training classes here at Hagerstown Field House. She is a high school teacher at Grace Academy, teaching Health, PE, and College & Career Prep classes and for years had been an adjunct at HCC and Shepherd University. Lisa and her husband Jeremy have four children (a daughter and 3 sons). She encourages all fitness levels in her classes because everyone deserves to feel successful no matter if you are just starting out your fitness journey or wanting to try something new! As a trainer and instructor my job is to motivate and educate you on your path to better health and fitness! With a focus on building strength, confidence, and healthy habits, Lisa creates a supportive environment, no matter the fitness level.

Patience

Hi, I’m Patience! I love teaching yoga, hanging out with friends, engaging in my various hobbies (writing, shuffle dance, kickboxing, acting, philosophy, you name it!), and more! I am a born-again Christian, and Christ is my passion in life and reason for what I do. It’s my hope that you’ll be blessed by having this opportunity to mindfully move and experience what God has given us in movement, and if you’d like me to pray for you after class, all you have to do is ask!

I love pop and EDM music, but in my classes, you’ll mostly hear calming sounds or quiet piano.

We try all kinds of things in my classes, but you can look forward to a class with an emphasis on pranayama (breathwork) and at least one fun flow! Most of my classes are themed according to the season, with a different characteristic to cultivate and build each season. (For example, gratitude in fall!)

Yoga is for everyone! My classes are very beginner-friendly, but intermediate to advanced yogis will enjoy them, too. My goal is to make your practice better, in and out of class!

Hi everyone! I’m Corey, and I’m so excited to ride with you! I’ve been passionate about cycling for years — both on the road and on gravel — and have had the incredible experience of riding in events like Unbound and RAGBRAI XL. I’m also a new mountain biker, always looking for my next trail adventure. My classes are built to meet you where you are — filled with energizing playlists, clear coaching, and a whole lot of good vibes.
I earned my degree in Sports Sciences and Kinesiology, which gives me a strong foundation in movement, endurance, and overall wellness — all things I love bringing into my classes. Outside the studio, I’m a high school culinary teacher and family-oriented person who loves encouraging others to challenge themselves while having fun. I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching my son's baseball team. My goal in every class is simple: to make you feel motivated, empowered, and glad you showed up.

Strength Circuit

Mat Pilates

What types of group fitness classes do you offer?

We offer a variety of classes to fit all fitness levels, including cardio, cycle, strength training, mind & body, and specialized classes for seniors. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Do I need to sign up in advance for classes?

While pre-registration isn’t always required, we recommend signing up for popular classes to ensure your spot, especially during peak times. Check our schedule for details!

What if I’m a beginner?

No problem! Our classes are designed to accommodate all fitness levels. Our certified instructors will provide modifications and support, so you can work at your own pace and feel comfortable.

How long are the classes?

Most classes range from 45 to 60 minutes, giving you a great workout without taking up too much of your day. Check the schedule for specific class lengths!

What should I bring to class?

Just bring yourself, comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle, and a towel if you’d like. Some classes may require specific equipment, but our instructors will let you know in advance.

What is the instructor-to-participant ratio?
