HAGERSTOWN, Md. —

After years of planning on the site of the former Municipal Stadium in the City of Hagerstown, the Hagerstown Field House is officially open for businesses following a ribbon cutting on Tuesday afternoon.

The 114,000 square foot facility boasts an 8,000 square foot fitness facility complete with group exercise, fitness floor, and personal training facilities.

The real highlight of the building, though, are the two indoor artificial turf fields, the four basketball courts, and eight volleyball courts. These spaces, the field house says, are ideal for soccer, flag football, field hockey, lacrosse, and more on the turf fields. The basketball and volleyball courts are especially great for tournaments and leagues, which have already sprung up in the city.

The Field House also hosts a full service cafe onsite to provide freshly prepared meals, snacks, and beverages that the location says varies from burgers to sandwiches to beers.

Eastern Sports Management, a company dedicated solely to the operation of facilities like the Hagerstown Field House, will be managing the day-to-day operations of the building while the city owns the building and the land it sits on. ESM also manages and owns field houses, sports complexes, and other sites across the US including in Virginia Beach, VA, Tulsa, OK, and Williamsport, PA.

ESM projects the facility to have annual foot traffic figures of around 1.5 million people visiting the facility, likely including numerous repeat customers and visitors that are there for everyday workouts and leagues but also for the numerous tournaments that have already booked time at the building.
