Summer Adventure Camps at Hagerstown Field House – Hagerstown, MD!

Looking for a fun and engaging way to keep your kids active this summer? Hagerstown Field House is excited to offer Summer Adventure Camps—a perfect way for Hagerstown youth to enjoy a variety of activities during summer break!

Our Adventure Camps feature an exciting mix of sports, arts, fitness, and more, designed to keep your child entertained, active, and learning in a safe and inclusive environment. From creative crafts to energetic games, we offer something for every child to enjoy.

Choose one week or join us for the entire summer! Each week offers new experiences and plenty of FUN for children of all ages.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Ages: 6-12

  • Gender: Coed

  • Day-Camp: 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • Registration can be completed online, over the phone 240-513-7510, or in person (290 E Memorial Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
  • Drop off is at 8:00am (we start accepting at 7:45am sharp) and Pick up is at 5:00pm.
  • Camp Check-in is located at the front reception desk at the Field House.
  • YOU MUST check-in/check-out your child at the table, they can not walk in on their own.
  • A non-refundable administration fee of $15 is required for program registration. This admin fee is good for one year, once paid, covers all admin costs for all programs for the year. The admin fee must be paid prior to registration, or you will receive an error.

7 Wonders of the World

Get ready for an epic adventure as we journey through time and across continents to explore the 7 Wonders of the World! During this themed week, campers will uncover the mysteries of the Ancient Wonders, be amazed by the feats of the Modern Wonders, and marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the Natural Wonders.

The week will be filled with hands-on activities, creative projects, interactive games, and exciting challenges inspired by these incredible landmarks. From building mini replicas of ancient monuments to solving engineering puzzles, and even recreating natural phenomena, campers will discover the stories, cultures, and science behind the world’s most awe-inspiring sights.

Pack your curiosity and sense of adventure—this summer, we’re going on a global quest where history, nature, and imagination come to life!

 

Masterminds & Makers

Unleash your creativity and curiosity as we dive into the world of Masterminds and Makers—the brilliant thinkers, bold innovators, and inspiring artists who have shaped our world!

From the genius of Thomas Edison, who lit up the world with the invention of the light bulb, to the visionary brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci, blending art and science like no other. Discover the mind of Archimedes, whose groundbreaking ideas still influence us today, and explore the futuristic innovations that push boundaries with electric cars and space travel.

But it’s not just about science! Feel the beat with global music icons like BTS and Bruno Mars, and dive into the world of style and self-expression inspired by the excitement of Fashion Week.

Campers will engage in hands-on experiments, creative arts, music, design challenges, and leadership activities that celebrate the passion and perseverance of these world-changers. Passport to Food & Culture

Pack your bags and get ready for a global adventure—no plane ticket required! We’re stamping our “passports” as we journey across continents to explore the vibrant flavors, traditions, and celebrations that make our world so unique in “Passport to Food and Culture.”

Campers will become cultural explorers, tasting delicious dishes like Paella from Spain, Pho from Vietnam, and sweet treats like Macarons from Paris and Apfelstrudel from Austria. But it’s not just about the food—we’ll dive into colorful festivals like Holi in India, Carnival in Brazil, and Songkran in Thailand, experiencing the music, dance, and traditions that bring communities together.

Discover the art of the Japanese tea ceremony, the bold beauty of recycled jewelry from the Dassanech tribe, and the storytelling power of tribal dances from around the world. Through hands-on activities, crafts, cooking projects, and cultural games, campers will explore how food, art, and celebrations connect us all.

Roam the World, Meet the Wild

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we “Roam the World, Meet the Wild!” Campers will embark on a global safari to explore the fascinating wildlife that calls each continent home. From the sweeping savannas of Africa to the icy wilderness of Antarctica, we’ll uncover the secrets of Earth’s most incredible creatures.

Discover the majestic lions, towering giraffes, and mighty elephants of Africa. Trek through Asia’s dense jungles to spot tigers, red pandas, and elusive snow leopards. Explore North America’s wild frontiers with bison, bald eagles, and grizzly bears, and swing into South America’s rainforests to meet sloths, jaguars, and colorful macaws.

We’ll journey to Europe’s ancient forests to find wolves, wild boars, and red squirrels, hop over to Australia to encounter kangaroos, koalas, and the quirky platypus, and brave the frozen landscapes of Antarctica, home to emperor penguins, seals, and giant whales.

Through hands-on activities, nature crafts, interactive games, and wildlife discovery challenges, campers will learn about animal habitats, survival skills, and conservation efforts that protect these amazing species.

Adventure Athletics: Play the World

Get ready to run, jump, dive, and play like never before in “Adventure Athletics: Play the World!” Campers will embark on a high-energy journey across the globe, discovering unique and exciting sports from different cultures.

Forget your usual games—this is where adventure meets athletics! Step up to the challenge with Cricket, a bat-and-ball game beloved in countries like England, India, and Australia. Feel the adrenaline of Rugby, where strategy and speed collide on the field. Master the fast-paced action of Handball, a European favorite that blends soccer and basketball skills.

Sharpen your reflexes with the quick volleys of Ping Pong, soar into the world of imagination with Quidditch (inspired by the magical game, no flying broomsticks required!), and work together in Korfball, a dynamic co-ed sport from the Netherlands that’s all about teamwork and precision.

With daily challenges, exciting tournaments, and fun twists on classic games, campers will experience the thrill of global athletics—learning new skills, making friends, and having a blast along the way.

We understand that food allergies can be a concern, and we want every camper to feel safe and included. Our team will be mindful of allergies and dietary restrictions, ensuring a safe experience for all. If you have any specific concerns, please provide details during your registration.

LUNCH & SNACKS

Lunch

The Hagerstown Field House concession team offers a kid-friendly, pre-selected menu for the week, with chicken tenders available as an optional choice each day. You can add lunch to your camper’s experience for $10 per day (tax inclusive).

If you choose not to add lunch, please ensure your child brings a packed lunch daily. Clearly label all lunch boxes with your child’s name to avoid mix-ups.


Snacks

Included in the camp fee is a healthy afternoon snack for each camper each day.

When packing snacks, please consider potential allergies among other campers. Be sure to label all food items and lunch boxes with your child’s name.
